YOUR ROLE: A Feature Lead is responsible for delivering a feature, often a set of
clearly defined milestones or a project, that requires deliverables to be built across
various squads. This role frequently requires navigating and adapting to uncertainties,
such as evolving requirements, potential roadblocks, delays and shifting priorities. The
Feature Lead must work closely with Product Owners/Scrum Masters/Flow Masters.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead/update/make/create backlog management for the feature, coordinating
relevant stakeholders to identify all objectives/deliverables.
2. Coordinate with tribe leads, product managers, product owners and architects
to ensure End-to-End ownership
3. Provide global and details delivery plan for the feature in cooperation with
stakeholders
4. Work closely with architects to ensure consistent and coherent implementation
across squads
a. Determine how to divide features into work items across squads
b. Determine the impact of business needs / technical solution on
deployment and architecture
5. Determine the system that is the authoritative source of new data, or a new data
store, and establish this authoritative source across squads
6. Identify spikes/blockers/dependencies as early as possible and determine if
any investigations are required to create more options, or to validate
assumptions before committing to a solution
7. Separate work that is not estimable into a spike and a story (and highlight the
dependency on the spike)
8. Follow up on backlog management with relevant product owners and squads
9. Participate in Agile ceremonies and sign off user stories
10.Ability to correctly implement changes (adhering to change management
process) and monitor progress
