Systems and Network Engineer (Axess Limited)

The Systems and Network Engineer is responsible for the efficient administration and day-to-day maintenance of the organization’s infrastructure. Responsibilities include the maintenance and administration of computer networks and the related computing environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and wireless technologies, across multi-site environments.
• Configure, monitor, and optimise server environments (Windows, Linux, and hybrid) to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance with organisational standards.
• Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection, to safeguard data and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues, utilising diagnostic tools and methodologies to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to align infrastructure strategies with organisational requirements and industry best practices.
• Document system configurations, network topologies, and incident resolutions to support knowledge management and process improvement.
