Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Childcare Practitioner to join our Pre Nursery team, working with children aged approximately 18 months old to 3 years old. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment within a dynamic international school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that promote curiosity, development, and independence.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Plan and implement structured activities and thematic learning based on children's needs and interests.
- Support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through a balance of guided learning and play.
- Provide essential caregiving routines to ensure toddlers’ well-being and comfort.
- Monitor children’s welfare continuously and promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Maintain developmental records, including observations, milestone tracking, and work samples.
- Prepare and share three annual progress reports covering developmental, social-emotional, and academic growth.
- Record and report incidents or accidents promptly, ensuring parental acknowledgement.
- Welcome children and families daily, creating a positive start and end to each school day.
- Communicate daily routines, activities, and important updates clearly with families.
- Support new families through a smooth and welcoming induction process.
- Build and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Educational Background:
- School Certificate
- Diploma in early Childhood Education
Knowledge & Experience:
- Skilled in systematic observation and interpretation of young children's developmental needs.
- Able to adapt and modify the classroom environment based on ongoing observations to meet individual interests and learning styles.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies and the classroom setup.
- Monitor and assess each child’s individual progress, tailoring support accordingly.
- Competent in identifying patterns of growth and behaviour to inform appropriate referrals and recommendations to parents when necessary
