Operations Leader

Join our dynamic team at Nextep Home Solution (Route Twenty Six Co Ltd) in Plaines Wilhems as we seek an Operations Leader – Installations to drive excellence in our Fitout & Installations department. We are looking for an ambitious, proactive, and results-driven individual who is ready to take on the challenge of overseeing installation operations across Mauritius while ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

As an Operations Leader – Installations, you will play a critical role in:

• Managing installation schedules, project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Overseeing the installation of glass balustrades, showers, kitchens, skirting, photovoltaic systems, water and wastewater treatment units, built-in cupboards, vanities, and mirrors.
• Coordinating closely with Sales, Fitout Design, Purchasing & Logistics, Stock & Warehouse, Finance, and After-sales teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Leading and supervising installation team leaders, installers, technicians, and approved subcontractors to maintain high standards of performance and workmanship.
• Ensuring materials, equipment, and manpower are efficiently allocated to optimise productivity and minimise delays.
• Implementing quality control procedures, conducting site inspections, and ensuring installations comply with technical specifications and company standards.
• Enforcing health, safety, and environmental requirements across all installation sites, including safe working practices for work at height and the handling of glass and heavy materials.
• Monitoring installation costs, project progress, and operational performance while ensuring accurate reporting of labour hours and material usage.
• Coordinating client handovers, resolving installation issues, and working with the After-sales team to manage warranty interventions and reduce recurring defects.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity, control costs, and strengthen customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Diploma or degree in Construction, Building Services, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in installation or fitout operations, including a minimum of 2 years managing teams and subcontractors.
• Practical knowledge of installation processes and technical requirements across several relevant product lines. Experience in photovoltaic or water and wastewater treatment installations will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects and sites simultaneously.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and supplier installation manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good computer literacy, including MS Office, with familiarity with ERP systems or project cost-management tools.
• Fluency in English and French, with knowledge of Kreol Morisien for effective communication on site.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across Mauritius.
• A strong commitment to quality, cost control, customer satisfaction, health and safety, and environmental standards.
