Job Description
Our client in the BPO sector is seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer who will report ot the Senior HR Manager & Payroll Lead. As a Payroll Officer, you will support the accurate and timely administration and processing of UK, Canada and Mauritius payrolls. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a sound
understanding of the relevant countries payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payrolls.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records and related payroll data accurately.
- Support the administration of leave, overtime, attendance, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
- Liaise with concern stakeholder to obtain, verify, and reconcile payroll-related information.
- Respond professionally and promptly to employee payroll-related queries.
- Prepare and submit Mauritius, Canadian and UK statutory payroll returns within established deadlines.
- Support payroll compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable statutory and taxation requirements.
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and other payroll administration activities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the security and integrity of payroll information.
Profile:
- Minimum HSC / Diploma qualification.
- CIPP certification or equivalent payroll qualification would be an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of UK, Canada and Mauritius payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and taxation.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in UK, Canada and Mauritius payroll processing is required.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Work from Monday to Friday and any public holidays as per business needs.
- Applicant may be requested to work for longer working hours during the end of month payroll period with work from home flexibility.
- Alternate working hours between Mauritius and UK hours of work.
