We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Retail Pharmacists to join our healthcare teams at La Clinique Mauricienne and Life Medical Clinic Bon Pasteur.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the overall operations of the Pharmacy, with particular emphasis on the retail pharmacy.
• Ensure that all pharmacy staff comply with the Pharmacy Act, the Dangerous Drugs Act, and all applicable regulations.
• Ensure that the Pharmacy operates in accordance with the Pharmacy Act, the Dangerous Drugs Act, the Clinic's policies and procedures, and the regulations of the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
• Work closely with the Deputy Medical Director, doctors, nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate the procurement of pharmaceuticals and consumables from approved suppliers.
• Monitor and maintain effective stock control within the Pharmacy and oversee the management of pharmacy sub-stores.
• Verify payroll records for the Pharmacy team.
• Train, mentor, and support newly recruited pharmacists and pharmacy dispensers.
• Participate in training and continuous professional development programmes organised by the Company.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred pharmaceutical services.
• Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Mauritius and holding a valid practising licence.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail and/or hospital pharmacy, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
• Sound knowledge of the Pharmacy Act, the Dangerous Drugs Act, and other relevant healthcare legislation.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management and pharmacy information systems.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays, as required.
