As Stewarding Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the Stewarding department, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen. Responsibilities include managing the stewarding team, coordinating activities, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead the stewarding team, providing guidance and support.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
2. Operational Oversight:
- Monitor and ensure the cleanliness of all kitchens.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
3. Equipment Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of dishwashing equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
4. Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Coordinate with the culinary and service teams to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to meet overall hotel objectives.
5. Quality Control:
- Address any issues related to cleanliness or hygiene promptly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum SC
- Proven experience in a stewarding or similar role within the hotel industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- The role involves standing for long periods and may require lifting and carrying of kitchen equipment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
