Ensure sanitation and equipment in all areas are clean and in good shape. Maintain a high standard of hygiene procedures according to the hotel policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follows the cleaning schedule for all designated kitchen areas, equipments and surfaces.
- Follows all Standard Operating Procedures for the Kitchen Stewarding department.
- Clean Glassware, Steels and Silverware, plates and crockery and other Kitchen utensils as per Cleaning Schedules given.
- Takes care that all Kitchen areas, Show Kitchens and Staff Canteen are always clean, tidy and sanitized.
- Should have complete knowledge of all cleaning standards operating procedures.
- Keeps storerooms clean and tidy.
- Has garbage areas, garbage containers and receiving area cleaned and sanitized at all times
- Is fully aware of all hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Is fully aware of proper procedures for all cleaning and dangerous Chemical usage.
- To follow up departmental rules set out by Chief Steward.
- Reports any defect immediately to Chief Steward.
- Controls cleanliness of F&B areas
- Ensure minimum breakage and loss of Hotel crockery and glassware and follows the standard operating procedures in case of any breakage
- Perform any duties and tasks entrusted to you within the framework of your band category, according to your skill and competencies
Candidate's Profile:
- Minimum Form 3 / Form 4
- Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on public holidays.
- A clean certificate of character is a must.
- Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
- Past experience in the Hotel Industry could be of definite advantage.
