Supervise Electrical/Mechanical works and assist the Contracts Manager in achieving the optimal quality, cost and time equilibrium on sites.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for Supervision on a portfolio of projects

Planning of works for a group of Supervisors/Junior Supervisors

Provide coaching to Supervisors/Junior Supervisors

Material take-off from Shop/Construction drawings

Prepare and submit Bill of Materials

Assist the project team in resourcing activities and materials & tools planning

Ensure that works are executed as per approved design and best practice

Ensure that works are executed to the highest workmanship level on site

Manage subcontractors appointed by Management on site

Control quality of works executed by subcontractors

Perform Quality Control checks on site

Reporting

Prepare daily works schedule and control & monitor progress on site

Ensure effective use of company resources

Ensure effective use and safeguarding of company assets

Document control as per company procedure

Liaison with Client/Consultant/Main Contractor on site

Provide necessary information for production of drawings

Assist in implementing and maintaining Quality and Health, Safety & Environment procedures on sites

Be responsible for employee morale and productivity on site

Participate in evaluation of collaborators and workers

Identification of training needs for collaborators and workers

Provide training to collaborators and workers

Assist in implementing and maintaining company quality procedures on site

Timekeeping on site

Take charge of site stores as and when directed by Management.

Profile

Higher School Certificate

At least 5 years working experience as Supervisor.

A minimum of 5 years working in a construction company will be an advantage.

Fluency in English & French both oral and written.

Practical knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, CAD).

Excellent communication skills (written/oral).

Willingness to work odd hours and Saturdays/Sundays as and when needed.
