Job Description

Responsibilities (how we will measure success): 

The role will focus on building robust controls by overseeing, supporting, and improving IQ EQ billing process to reduce the risk of lost revenue. This will include internal review of billing of the regional clients. The role requires authority to implement improvements and findings of reviews in conjunction with Managers across the Business. The role will focus on the Funds and Corporate elements of the Business.

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis):

  • Set the overall direction for the Revenue Assurance Team in accordance with IQ-EQ goals and objectives
  • Timely issuance of all bills
  • To ensure bills are raised as per SLA/Fee Schedule
  • To ensure application of indexation, where agreed with clients and to keep tracker for remaining clients
  • To ensure agreement of fees as per rate card
  • To review WIP c/f to ensure prompt billing (retainer, interim and final)
  • For ad-hoc work, to ensure fees and payment terms agreed and 50% billed upfront  (subject to established thresholds)
  • Tracker to move to billing in advance and quarterly calendar billing
  • To look into potential revenue leakages (disbursements, compliance work, payments, investor services).
  • Create a number of Project documents to support the scope, initiation, recommendations and delivery aspects of the end-to-end delivery cycle
  • Create Management Information on a Monthly Basis to drive results and prove delivery against targets
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the functional area and take control of implementing improvements
  • Support and develop the skills of the Revenue Assurance Officers in establishing effective relationships with IQEQ stakeholders
  • Report back to Directors about the performance of their departments
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas of the billing process which need improvements
  • Collaborate with Finance to access data and information in relation to budgeted and actual Revenue and Lock Up days
  • Collaborate with the Client Service Directors to monitor and review the billing of new clients in initial years to assess actual returns against those expected at time of quotation
  • Collaboratively engage with peers across Client Services and other parts of the Business to facilitate both knowledge share and understanding shared challenges

Qualifications

Education / Professional Qualification:

  • University Degree in Accountancy/Business/Mathematics or otherwise demonstrable strong aptitude for numeracy ACCA or ACA qualified

Background experience:

  • Extensive experience leading teams
  • 5+ years in the Private Equity Fund Administration space
  • Accountancy Qualified

Computer/Program knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office skills with focus on Excel skills
  • Knowledge of 5 Series, Investran is desirable

Company, product and market knowledge:

  • Knowledge of and experience within the private equity industry is required

Management and leadership:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of working in a Leadership role

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
