Our client is recruiting a Payroll Coordinator
Job Scope
Provide an effective, efficient and integrated service related to payroll and crewing activities and work with compliance in mind at all times.
Duties and responsibilities
Set up offshore and local payroll and ensure updates are made according to social legislation where applicable. Prepare the payroll each month with justification of the variable elements such as but not limited to:
New Employees.
- Tracking illness and absence
- End of Contract (resignation, redundancy, retirement, termination)
- Change of position, salary, working time.
- Change in allowances.
- Bank account changes.
- Review and verify seafarers Travel Expense Reports in accordance with procedures.
- Prepare headcount and salary reporting.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure timely payment of salaries.
- Prepare and distribute payslips to offshore and onshore employees Ensure correct social contributions and taxes to be paid to local institutions.
- Provide reports as required – monthly/quarterly/yearly payroll, ad hoc reports.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous relevant experience working in shipping/marine management companies is desirable.
- Good communication (oral and written) skills.
- Awareness and understanding of cultural and diversity issues.
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Good excel skills Flexible and adaptable with ability to work in a fast moving environment.
