Nautical Manager at Resiglas

This role aims to achieve the company's objectives in Nautical activities by implementing appropriate strategies in Sales, Marketing, development, and Production.

Role Purpose

 The purpose of this role is to achieve the company objectives in terms of Nautical activities by implementing appropriate strategies in Sales, Marketing, development, and Production.

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Bring to market innovative/alternative products that customers value within the business unit (i.e. new products, change of design, new fittings, etc…)
• Drive sales and contribute to annual sales growth objectives within the nautical business unit
• Implement sales strategies and ensure objectives in terms of availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality, pricing is achieved.
• Contribute to marketing effort in relation to nautical business unit
• Build relationship and maintain trust relationship with stakeholders, mainly customers, authorities and suppliers.
• Provide insightful information to management for decision making purposes
• Set company standard in terms of quality for nautical business unit
• Manage the boat department, work on planning, monitor quality standards and cost objectives
• Analyze and suggest the best value for money raw materials
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of the supervisor/team leader to drive maximum performance of the production team (manage, motivate, support, provide guidance, take action)
• Organise workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Providing technical expertisefor Custom-made products.
• Develop & Implement cost-effective procedures/processes and be accountable for wastage and delays.
• Develop & Implement production strategies to meet set objectives
• Ensure products’ quality meets the company’s standards
• Take necessary action to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition
• Analyse problematic situations, provide solutions, and report to the Operation Director
• Ensure production staff follow company policies including health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc / Engineering in Mechanical, Production and/or Nautical.
• Proven experience in the nautical industry

Knowledge and Technical Competencies

• Nautical Manufacturing / Production

Behavioural Competencies

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational leadership 
• Excellent communication skills
