Join Our Team as a Management Control Officer!
Embark on an exciting journey with TotalEnergies Marketing Mauritius Ltd. We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic team.
ACTIVITIES
Reporting to the Management Control Lead, the potential candidate will be responsible for the following:
Margins and results
- Analyze accounting figures impacting the P&L and request for correction by accounting team after approval by N+1 and N+2.
- Analyze margins by activity and indicate the sources of discrepancies (MM flow, SD flow …)
- Ensure that all main entries impacting the margins are coming from MM and SD.
- Define with the process owners and control list of provisions to be made or to cancel prior to closing of monthly accounts.
- Analysis of fixed costs per cost center and account on a monthly basis.
- Follow-up COCO margins with Receivable Accountant.
- Highlight and investigate variations in margins and fixed costs compared to budget and N –1.
Price change
- Update prices in SAP and verify with ADV and commercial teams that new prices are correct on invoices.
Reporting
- Assist Management Control Lead (MCL) during closing of accounts, preparation of P&L reports and in commenting variations v/s budget and N-1.
- Assist MCL in preparation of Budget and Long-Term Plan.
- Assist MCL in preparation of board meetings, business reviews and other presentations.
- Prepare and analyse monthly KPI and market share.
- Capacity to handle 4 reportings monthly: Invest, P&L, Working capital and CMO (7 months for new entrance – 3 months for TEMML staff).
CAPEX and OPEX
- Validate purchase requests on the system for OPEX and CAPEX.
- Follow up of CAPEX and preparation of investment workings.
- Ensure accuracy of all figures shared by the Management Control team.
- Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.

- Comply with all rules and procedures of TotalEnergies, including those relating to internal control and good governance.
- Prepare appropriate files for different audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting.
- Proven experience in accounting – at least 3 years of experience as a FTE.
- Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Analytical mind with good aptitude in maths.
- Ability to work under pressure and to stay focused on tasks.
- Full availability in line with headoffice deadlines (overtime during closing and budget periods will be compensated by a half or day off).
- Fluent in English and French.
- Ready to put extra working hours between 16hr30 to 18hr30 during the 4 days of monthly closing period. This will be compensated by time-off outside the month-end closing period.
