QBL is looking for skilled Machine Operators to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You will ensure the interminable and efficient running of production.
The key responsibilities and tasks will include the following:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines in the production plant
- To perform manual tasks involving physical and mental skills to attend to and/or operate a machine as per instructions.
- Ensure production programme is followed as per instructions of supervisors.
- Ensure that machines are running in a proper condition by following carefully work instructions.
- Follow and apply all scheduled maintenance and repairs programmes by giving necessary assistance to technical team.
- Be conversant with and apply all safety and quality system put in place by Management as improvement processes.
- Any other cognate duties.
Requirements and skills:
- Minimum School Certiface and NTC 3 certification
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
