Our client in the Retail sector is seeking to recruit a Logistics Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations and delivery functions within the retail furniture business.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of stock, ensuring proper inventory control.
  • Implement and maintain efficient warehouse management practices to optimize space utilisation and stock movement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
  • Supervise and coordinate home delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Ensure efficient product transfers to retail outlets, ensuring stock availability and minimal delays.
  • Develop and implement efficient routing and scheduling plans to optimize delivery performance.
  • Organise and monitor the assembly and installation of furniture items, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage the aftersales service department, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address product quality concerns and service-related challenges.
  • Monitor and analyse customer feedback, implementing necessary improvements to enhance service standards.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, preferably in the furniture or retail industry.
  • Proven track record of managing warehouse operations, delivery logistics and aftersales service.
  • Experience in handling customer complaints and implementing service improvements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse management, logistics and delivery operations.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement strategies for process improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
