Junior Procurement & Stock Executive

Mathieu Opticien is looking for a self-driven Junior Procurement and Stock Executive to oversee retail stock management, optimize stock placement, and lead procurement efforts for both retail and wholesale operations.

In this key role, you will enhance procurement processes, collaborate with various departments to optimize costs, and support the head office, stores, and lab with general procurement needs.

Responsibilities:

Retail Procurement Management:

• Oversee retail stock across all locations, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate tracking of stock movements for effective inventory management and rotation.
• Optimize stock placement and merchandising in line with KPIs, ensuring attractive product displays that align with visual merchandising standards. Conduct regular store visits to better understand product placement and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with suppliers to select and negotiate the best product collections for retail stores, including frames, accessories, optical equipment, and consumables. Meet suppliers when they visit or travel to meet them for better product selection.
• Monitor stock levels and advise when to reorder to maintain stock availability and avoid excess inventory.

Wholesale Procurement Assistance:

• Support wholesale procurement for the lab, including the purchase of lab equipment, consumables, and materials.
• Manage supplier relationships for wholesale supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.

General Procurement:

• Oversee procurement of daily consumables for the head office, stores, and lab, including office supplies and cleaning products.
• Collaborate with departments to understand procurement needs and optimize costs.

Process Improvement

• Develop and implement procurement procedures and processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues, such as delivery delays or discrepancies.
• Work with other teams to streamline procurement workflows and ensure smooth operations.

Reporting & Team Support

• Provide regular reports on stock levels, procurement activities, and supplier performance to management.
• Support the Stock & Procurement team in ensuring tasks are completed on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply Chain, logistics, or any related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in retail.
• Strong knowledge of stock management, procurement processes, and supplier relations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) mainly excel (data analysis).
• Excellent numeracy skills and analytical skills.
• Good market knowledge and market analysis skills.
• Excellent mastery of Azurmind or equivalent stock system.
• Leveraging procurement tools like Sage, SAP, or similar platforms for efficient operations will be an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-driven and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for fashion and retail merchandising is a plus.
• A valid driving license is required.
