A reputable company in the north of Mauritius is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller with strong English communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of financial experience and hold at least a degree in finance or a related field.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Finance or related field (minimum requirement).
Skills and Experience Required:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Understanding of offshore company structures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of IFRS and best accounting disclosure practices.
- Familiarity with auditing principles, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook) with strong MS Excel skills.
- Experience working with database applications.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and disciplined.
- Time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Client-focused and process-oriented, with a drive for excellence.

Key Duties:
- Debtors Management: Follow up on client payments and manage debtor schedules to ensure timely collections.
- Expense Verification: Verify travel allowances and advances for consultants.
- Accounts and Budgets: Understand and manage management accounts and budgets.
- SMP Loading: Process SMP (Salary Management Program) entries accurately.
- Bank Payments: Load and process bank account payments.
- Client Invoicing: Generate and issue monthly client invoices.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring proper tagging of all assets.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor and manage the yearly budget for travel, marketing, and conferences.
- Credit Card Management: Oversee credit card spending and manage top-ups.
- Ad Hoc Support
