Responsible for the maintenance of a 12 storey building in Port Louis
Reporting:
Qualifications or experience requirements:
- A qualification in building and civil engineering or experience in the relevant field
Experience: candidates must have
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to team work and driven by results
- Leadership skills
- Organisation, planning and time management skills
- Creative approach to problem solving
- IT literacy
- A good undersatanding and experience of construction, facility planning, electrical installations, fire-equipment and health and safety
- A flexible approach to work and at least 1-3 years experience in a similar position
- Holder of a valid car licence
Duties:
- To be responsible for the good maintenance of the building including lifts, plumbing, electrical, fire-fighting, air conditioners etc and to oversee cleaning, security, access control, house-keeping, parking facilities
- Plan and develop work schedules and ensure discipline at work ( maintain a harmonious working relationship)
- Ability to understand and resolve complaints of tenants
- Submit daily, weekly, monthly and yearly performance reports
- Provide training as and when needed
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (OSHA)
- To inspect the building on a daily basis and determine any repairs and maintenance needed
- To act as a primary contact with all service providers and ensure their services meet the standards required
- To perform any other such duties related to the above but not included
