Develop geotechnical proposals for infrastructure projects Provide on-site technical support during construction Execute drilling/boring programs accurately Prepare bore logs per standards Interpret field tests and produce high-quality reports Test soil/rock samples in the laboratory
- Prepare geotechnical investigation proposal for various infrastructure development project in Mauritius and Outer Islands;
- Provide fulltime technical servicing in the site during geotechnical Investigation and construction activities;
- Ensure that all drilling/boring programmes are properly executed;
- Prepare and present high standard bore logs in accordance with engineering geological practice (Latest British Standard and International Society of Rock Mechanics Standard);
- Interpret field tests and prepare high standard technical reports;
- Liaise with Soil / Rock Mechanics Testing Laboratory for the testing of soil/rock samples;
- Collect soil / Rock samples;
- See to it that all verbal instructions received from clients are duly confirmed in writing;
- Record the measurements of work on daily reports and obtain agreement with client’s representatives as work proceeds;
- Reach agreement of the final quantities with Client Representative for the purpose of payment;
- Keep management informed at regular intervals or as and when requested of all details regarding works in progress or potential problems which may otherwise affect the smooth running of the work;
- Perform any other cognate duties which are normally incumbent upon a job holder of your category.
- Project Management & Preparation of Geotechnical Engineering Report with engineering recommendations and engineering parameters.
