To maintain high standard of service to guests on the beach as instructed by the Beach Supervisor
Customer Service
- Welcomes, seats, and serves guests as per set standard.
- Converses with guests to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Provides a speedy, courteous, efficient and friendly service to guests.
- Answers queries about all items on the restaurant menu and bar lists, their basic ingredients and method of preparation.
- Informs a superior immediately in the case of a guest complaint.
- Set up the station to the correct standard before service.
- Ensure the beach is clean and tidy at all times.
- To help with minor guest complaints and to ensure the supervisor is informed of all complaints and good comments.
- To be punctual and set an example in uniform standards and hygiene at all times
Material Handling & Inventory
- Reports bad functioning of utilities such as lights, fans and toilets, to the Beach Supervisor for repair.
- Properly handles all materials and equipment to avoid breakage.
- Reports any breakage, defect or loss of equipment and accessories to the Beach Supervisor.
- Assists in inventories as per instructions.
Beach Operations
- Provides towels and beach towels to guests on the beach.
- Checks and arranges all mattresses properly on the beach chairs.
- Offers various services to guest (e.g. sunglass cleaning, cocktail snacks, skin care with cucumbers …).
- Clears all dirty or soiled cutlery, crockery or glassware from the table once the guests have completed their consumption.
- Takes orders and notes on an appropriate form as per the Hotel’s standard.
- Informs kitchen or bar about orders as soon as any food item or drink is ordered by guests.
- Double checks tray before serving guest to ensure food and beverages items tally with orders.
Billing Procedures
- Forwards orders to cashier/ barman for input in Micros system.
- Presents bill to client for settlement.
- Checks at all times that bills are presented, signed and/or paid by guests and returned to the cashier in accordance with billing procedures.
- Ensures all F&B items ordered or served are accompanied by an order ticket
