We are currently looking for Accounting Assistants to join our Team.
As part of the Accounting Department, your Main duties and reponsibilities will be as follows:
- Perform daily bank reconciliation of client accounts
- Review quarterly Bordereaux as issued by cedants and issue debit notes
- Prepare Closings for reinsurers, debit notes and Evidence of Cover for cedants and retrocedants
- Calculate commission per risk using information from signed contracts
- Prepare the quarterly and yearly FSC returns as required by the Insurance Brokers Rules
- Maintain the trade debtors list
- Maintain the source records for each risk bound by brokers
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
- Assist in preparing audit schedules for year-end financial statements
- Assist in drafting IFRS statutory accounts for year-end
- Draft corporation tax computations
- Issue monthly statement of accounts to trade debtors
- Assist in credit control and cash recover for claims
- Liaise and assist brokers as and when necessary
- Perform KYC procedures with new clients
Perform other duties (including operational) as designated by the Company, as required.
