Credit Analyst

We are looking for a Credit Analyst with at least 2 years' experience within a similar position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Determine eligibility of prospective clients and process all applications received for leases in accordance with the company guidelines.
  2. Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
  3. Undertake risk assessment analysis and use credit scoring models as per the company guidelines.
  4. Prepare reports for credit committee in line with the company’s policy.
  5.  Keep company credit exposures within set risk bearing limits.
  6. Keep abreast of changes in the market to formulate adequate risk analysis
  7. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and regulatory guidelines
  8. Ensure that any breach in credit policies is duly reported to the CEO or Head of Operations.
  9. Meet potential Clients and assist the latter with any information concerning the service offered by the Employer so as to properly identify his/her needs Effect the relevant follow-up on the acceptance of offer by the Client, ensure the prompt and good delivery of all supporting documents and payments as per the approval term;
  10. Assist the potential Client in the filing in of all leasing and deposit pre-application and applications requirements
  11. Effect the relevant follow up in respect of all registration of deeds with the relevant Authorities;
  12. Ensure that the lease file is complete and that quotation and proposal formalities of Insurance Cover on the Leased Asset has been complete;
  13. Once the Leased Contract is signed by the Client, transfer the lease file to the Account Department,  recoup all the relevant documents for filing purposes;
  14. Assist the Head of Operations to perform any other cognate duties.


Competencies and qualities required:

  • University degree in Banking / Economics / Accounting /  Finance / Risk Management or any other professional qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ experience within a similar position
  • Sound knowledge of leasing practices, procedures and products
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and technical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good collaboration skills in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Dynamic, Motivated and a Solution Provider
