The Chef De Partie must ensure the highest standard and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes according to the chef's recipes and specifications.
  • Ensuring that all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and consistency.
  • Supervising and guiding junior chefs and commis chefs in the kitchen.
  • Maintaining and organizing their station, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Assisting with inventory management, including ordering and rotating stock.
  • Communicating with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Developing and testing new recipes to enhance the menu.
  • Collaborating with the head chef and other chefs to create new dishes and specials.
  • Taking responsibility for training and mentoring junior staff members
  • Follows strictly recipes and technical data sheets, as well as menus and presentations
  • Ensures that HACCP standards are followed with consistency in the section

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • NC3 in Food production or any other qualification relevant to the position
  • 1 year of experience in similar position
  • Good communication in English and French both oral and written
  • Team oriented
