As part of our growing team, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team.
The Accounts Officer will have a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send out invoices to clients promptly.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and manage the accounts receivable aging.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process service providers invoices and ensure timely payment.
- Reconcile service providers statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain good relationships with providers.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform Bank reconciliation for foreign currency accounts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to management as required.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with auditors when required.
- General Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.
- Provide financial guidance to colleagues and departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or partly ACCA qualified.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role (min. 2 years).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
