As part of our growing team, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team. The Accounts Officer will have a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

 

Job Description:

As part of our growing team, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team. 

The Accounts Officer will have a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

 Key Responsibilities:  

 

  1. Bookkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
    • Record day-to-day financial transactions.
  2. Accounts Receivable:
    • Generate and send out invoices to clients promptly.
    • Follow up on outstanding payments and manage the accounts receivable aging.
  3. Accounts Payable:
    • Process service providers invoices and ensure timely payment.
    • Reconcile service providers statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain good relationships with providers.
  4. Bank Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Perform Bank reconciliation for foreign currency accounts. 
  1. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial information to management as required.
  2. Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with auditors when required.
  3. General Support:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.
    • Provide financial guidance to colleagues and departments as needed.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or partly ACCA qualified.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role (min. 2 years).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
