We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to oversee our financial operations.

 

Stefanutti Stocks (Mauritius) and Partners Ltd is a subsidiary of Stefanutti Stocks Africa, a leading construction group dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across Africa. With a rich history of excellence spanning over more than 50 years, we are a multidisciplinary construction group, specialised in various types of construction projects. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our local finance department team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions;
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance and support decision-making processes;
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations;
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs, analyse variances, and ensure profitability;
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and tax filings;
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks;
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimise financial processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA certification preferred;
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the construction industry;
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP, Buildsmart) and Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights;
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally;
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
