Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of air-conditioning and ventilation systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair split units, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, and FCUs.

  • Monitor AC performance to ensure temperature and humidity levels meet hotel standards.

  • Respond promptly to guest complaints related to air-conditioning during assigned shifts.

  • Detect, report, and rectify faults, gas leaks, and system inefficiencies.

  • Ensure all air-conditioning works comply with safety, health, and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of AC maintenance, repairs, and servicing.

  • Assist in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.

  • Support emergency breakdowns and urgent technical issues.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and refrigerant handling practices in line with safety regulations.

  • Coordinate with other engineering team members to minimize guest disturbance.

  • Follow energy-saving and sustainability practices related to HVAC operations.

  • Adhere strictly to hotel policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical qualification or certification in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for air-conditioning systems.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently during shift duties.

  • Good knowledge of hotel engineering operations and safety practices.
