L’Aventure du Sucre is recruiting!!

We are looking to recruit a passionate and energetic Packaging Helper to work in our Village Boutique. The incumbent will make sure packaging is done efficiently and check the sealing, weighing, labelling, and quality of the products. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring items are properly sealed, packed, and sent to their correct destinations.

KEY/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Ensuring products are packed and sealed according to the set standards.
• Follow the internal procedures when packing sugar or any other products.
• Keep the workspace clean to prevent pests.
• Consistently check the seal of each pack.
• Make sure machines are used efficiently, minimize waste and follow all company guidelines.
• Show enthusiasm for learning how to operate each sealing machine.
• Reduce the risk of waste (both raw materials and packaging) through proper handling.
• Adhere to all L’Aventure du Sucre packaging guidelines.
• Always pack away all equipment before leaving.
• Strictly follow all L’Aventure du Sucre procedures and participate in monthly inventory activities.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
• Actively participate in the monthly store inventory.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Basic knowledge of packaging procedures, product quality standards, hygiene requirements and safe handling of packaging materials.
• Ability to minimise waste.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required.
• Previous experience in packaging, stock handling or retail would be an advantage.
