Junior Electrical Engineer (YEP)

Job Summary

The Junior Electrical Engineer will assist with the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of solar PV hybrid systems. The role involves supporting site activities, technical documentation, troubleshooting and material coordination under the supervision of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Technical Support

• Assist with electrical site visits and assessments.
• Support the design and installation of solar PV systems.
• Assist with electrical wiring, cabling and equipment connections.
• Support testing and commissioning activities.

2. Design & Documentation

• Prepare basic electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and update technical documents and drawings.
• Maintain proper project records.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assist with identifying and resolving electrical faults.
• Support routine inspections and maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any issues.

4. Materials & Equipment

• Assist with preparing material lists.
• Keep records of tools, equipment and materials.
• Check delivered materials and report any shortages.

5. Health & Safety

• Follow electrical safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Ensure work complies with electrical standards and safety requirements.
• Assist with quality checks during project activities.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with senior engineers, technicians and project managers.
• Coordinate with suppliers when required.
• Prepare basic progress reports and technical updates.
