Maintenance Officer

Job description

Casela - Sport Center (SPARC) is looking for a Maintenance Officer who will assist in the planning, implementation organizing and directing the facilities activities within the Sparc buildings and grounds (the Centre) . Being in this role, you will be involved but not limited to:

Maintenance & Repairs 

•  Prepare and implement planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule

 Plan and follow-up maintenance activities as instructed by the Sparc Manager or as directed by the Facilities Managers of the Group    

•  Conduct daily inspections of the Centre on a rotational basis and advise manager of preventive maintenance requirements on identified issues        
•  Coordinate the services of maintenance contractors, suppliers, vendors, etc.
•  Ensure that the maintenance operations are in compliance with established procedures, policies, regulations and codes 

Health & Safety 

•    Assist the Facilities department, Security Manager, Health and Safety Manager for all security and  Health and Safety aspects of the Centre
•   Follow all safety rules and procedures, and safety policies
•  Complete regular OSH inspections and update monthly reports    

Administration/Records

•  Track and record repair and maintenance results    
•  Monitor utilities consumption & identify possibilities for reduction of consumption    
•  Maintain register of tools and equipment pertaining to maintenance of property    
•  Complete work orders, lists materials issues and used, and file paperwork with appropriate personnel
•  Complete equipment and supply orders as assigned 
•  Completion of time sheets and maintenance records           

Candidate profile

•  Hold Min NTC Qualifications in Electromechanical / Electronics / Electrical or any other alternate acceptable qualification 
•  Competent in the troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing & HVAC installations    
•  General working knowledge of plumbing and building maintenance    
•  Proficient knowledge of maintenance functions and safety protocols
• Ability to undertake and/ or coordinate emergency maintenance as necessary 
• Computer literate 
• Available after working hours for emergencies and/or events carried out at the Centre
