Job description
The Data Analyst - Sales is the single analytical engine behind MauBank's sales effort across Consumer Banking, Private Banking & Wealth Management, SME and Corporate Banking. The role centralises sales performance reporting for all segments, builds the dashboards leadership relies on, and turns customer data into quantified business opportunities across our existing and potential customer base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the end-to-end sales performance reporting cycle – daily, weekly and monthly – for all segments and distribution channels (business centres, relationship managers, direct sales and digital), tracked against budget and target.
- Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that give segment heads and senior leadership one consistent view of pipeline, conversion, balances, revenue and product penetration.
- Maintain an accurate, reconciled sales data repository, with common KPI definitions so every segment is measured on a like-for-like basis.
- Provide in-depth analysis of the customer base to drive segmentation, cross-sell and up-sell, dormant account re-activation, attrition prevention and customer migration between segments (e.g. mass affluent to Private Banking, entrepreneurs to SME).
- Analyse customer behaviour, product holdings and pricing to identify new business opportunities and size their potential.
- Automate recurring reports and data workflows using SQL, Excel and Power Automate to cut manual effort and turnaround time.
- Support campaign design and measure the effectiveness of sales campaigns and business development initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to existing measurement methods for data and performance management across the sales function.
- Partner with segment heads, business centre managers and relationship managers to gather requirements, refine reporting and resolve data queries.
- Ensure all work complies with the bank's data protection, confidentiality, KYC/AML and internal control requirements.
PREREQUISITES:
- A degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Information Technology or a related quantitative field. Graduates completing their studies in 2026 are welcome to apply.
- Hands-on experience in analytics, dashboard development or business reporting, including internships. Exposure to banking, financial services or professional services is an advantage.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret data to identify issues, risks (including regulatory) and opportunities, and to report on those findings.
- Ability to distil large volumes of information into clear, commercially sound recommendations for managers.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Power BI: data modelling, calculated measures (DAX) and dashboard design
- SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis
- Advanced Excel
- Workflow automation with Microsoft Power Automate (an advantage)
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline data (an advantage)
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure (an advantage)
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Highly numerical, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French
- Strong stakeholder management, comfortable working with commercial teams across all segments
- Curious, proactive problem-solver who iterates on feedback
- Able to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
