Laundry Runner

Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa is looking for a reliable, organised and hardworking individual to join our Laundry Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, sorting, recording, transportation and delivery of guest laundry, hotel linen and staff uniforms, ensuring accuracy, proper handling and timely delivery. The role will also involve assisting with laundry operations whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver guest laundry and dry-cleaning items promptly and professionally.
• Verify guest names, room numbers, laundry lists and quantities when collecting laundry from guest rooms.
• Check and report any discrepancies, missing or damaged items to the supervisor.
• Sort and transport soiled hotel linen, towels, bathrobes and staff uniforms according to established procedures.
• Prepare, count and record linen sent to and received from the outside laundry company.
• Verify quantities and inspect the condition of clean linen received from the outside laundry company.
• Ensure clean linen, towels and uniforms are properly sorted, arranged and delivered to the designated storage areas or departments.
• Collect, distribute and arrange staff uniforms for washing, pressing, dry cleaning or repairs.
• Assist with washing, drying, ironing, folding and sorting laundry items whenever required.
• Ensure clean and soiled linen are kept separate at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, linen storage areas and laundry trolleys.
• Handle guest belongings, hotel linen and uniforms with care to prevent loss or damage.
• Report any valuables found in guest clothing immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist the Laundry Attendant and other team members to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
• Follow hotel procedures, hygiene standards and safety guidelines at all times.

Profile & Requirements

• Previous experience in a Laundry Department or similar position will be an advantage.
• Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to count, sort and record laundry items accurately.
• Physically fit and capable of handling laundry trolleys and moving linen.
• Honest, responsible and careful when handling guest belongings and hotel property.
• Punctual, reliable and able to meet collection and delivery schedules.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Willingness to assist with Laundry Attendant duties when required.
• Good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
• Flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays.
