Storekeeper

As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible and accountable for all products movement and storage across the assigned location in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Location of employment: Grand Baie, Bagatelle, Highlands

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming products and verify their accuracy against orders.
• Issue products for delivery as per sales documents.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Safely store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organisation and easy access.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerised systems or manual logs.
• Perform regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare materials for issuance based on requisitions or work orders, ensuring proper documentation.
• Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft or unauthorised access to inventory.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency.
• Train and supervise junior staff members involved in storekeeping activities.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall objectives of the organisation.

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum HSC; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
• Proven experience in storekeeping or inventory control roles, preferably in a similar industry.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a warehouse setting.
