Bank Reconciliation Officer (French Accounting)

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Bank Reconciliation Officer to support our French accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of financial records in a French accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the daily update and maintenance of reconciliation databases for banking and accounting transactions.
• Verify and monitor the accuracy of accounting and bank balances.
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliation statements.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation feed issues and processing anomalies.
• Perform manual reconciliations for transactions not automatically matched.
• Analyze outstanding items and unreconciled transactions.
• Follow up on required adjustments and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Record bank charges and value-dated transactions not processed automatically.
• Contribute to the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, or financial operations would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Language Requirement

Excellent French speaking and writing skills are mandatory, as the role supports French accounting operations and requires regular interaction with French-speaking stakeholders.
Good command of English is an advantage.
