Job Description:

ABC Foods is looking for a dynamic, proactive, and reliable IT System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT systems, managing networks, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure. The position will report to the IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

To maintain and support the company’s IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations and providing technical support to users.

Key Duties :

• Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, licences, email, Teams, and related services.
• Maintain Windows computers and servers, including setup, updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Apply security updates and maintain endpoint protection, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Test backups and support recovery when files or services are lost or unavailable.
• Help users resolve IT issues, record work in the service desk, and escalate complex problems.
• Maintain accurate records of devices, accounts, configurations, changes, and support procedures.
• Work with suppliers and service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain services.
• Report security incidents, suspected account misuse, and service risks promptly.

Key Technical Responsibilities:

• Manage Fortinet network equipment, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch switches, and FortiAP wireless access points.
• Configure and troubleshoot network services, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Maintain Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines, including monitoring capacity and service availability.
• CCNA certification or equivalent CCNA-level networking knowledge.
• A positive, helpful attitude, with patience and professionalism when supporting users and working with colleagues.

Key Qualifications :

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting Windows computers, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with account security, multi-factor authentication, backups, endpoint protection, and IT service desk processes.

• Good troubleshooting, prioritisation, recordkeeping, and follow-through.
• Able to work independently while following IT policies and approval procedures.
