Café Operator

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Café Operator to prepare and serve food and beverages, maintain a clean and welcoming café, and provide excellent service to patients, visitors and staff.

Main Duties

• Prepare and serve food and beverages.
• Take orders and provide courteous, efficient customer service.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, preparation areas and seating areas.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies and check expiry dates.
• Follow food hygiene, storage and safety procedures.
• Report equipment faults, stock shortages and customer concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements

• School Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a café, catering or customer service role would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic numeracy and confidence in handling payments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
