Waiter / Waitress & Cashier

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Food & Beverage Service

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional and friendly service.
• Present menus, explain menu items and assist guests with their orders.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and proper presentation of tables and service areas.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Cashiering & Payments

• Process guest bills and payments accurately using the hotel's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit card and other payment transactions responsibly.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and comply with hotel procedures.
• Reconcile cash and cashier reports at the end of each shift.
• Maintain accuracy, honesty and confidentiality when handling financial transactions.

Standards & Teamwork

• Adhere to Holiday Inn, IHG and Valor Hospitality service standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, grooming and uniform standards at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in restaurant service and/or cashiering is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good command of English; French is an advantage.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable, organised, honest and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and passion for hospitality.
