🎯 The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in Mauritius.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking to strengthen their technical expertise and gain exposure to international and multi-entity accounting operations.

The position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract (CDD).

📋 The Role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations of several Group entities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• General Accounting: Maintain accounting records, process journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier and customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances and reconcile accounts.
• Payments: Prepare payment vouchers, payment batches and supplier payment schedules.
• Intercompany Accounting: Record and reconcile transactions between Group entities.
• Closing & Reporting: Support month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Audit: Assist with audit preparation, including the preparation of supporting schedules, documentation, and assist in responses to auditors' queries.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of accounting processes, internal controls and Finance systems.

✅ What Are We Looking For?

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification; ACCA Level 2 or partly qualified ACCA is an advantage.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi-entity environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software/ERP and Google Sheets; exposure to Odoo is an advantage.
• Knowledge of French accounting practices would be a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• A proactive attitude, adaptability and willingness to learn.
