Job Description
Meaders Feeds Ltd is seeking a vigilant, trustworthy, and customer-oriented employee to fill the position of Security Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, controlling site access, assisting visitors, and ensuring the smooth movement of vehicles and company property within the premises.
Main responsibilities :
- Monitor and patrol company premises to ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, company property, and assets.
- Control access points and verify the identity of visitors, suppliers, contractors, and employees.
- Welcome and assist visitors and guests, including directing them to designated parking areas and ensuring smooth traffic flow on the company's premises.
- Monitor and control the movement of company assets, materials, and equipment entering or leaving the site.
- Ensure proper authorization is obtained for the movement of maintenance tools, specialized equipment, and other high-value or expensive assets.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, warehouses, workshops, stores, gates, and perimeter fencing.
- Investigate and report security incidents, losses, damages, suspicious activities, and breaches of company procedures.
- Assist during emergency situations, fire drills, evacuation exercises, and Health & Safety activities.
- Maintain accurate records of visitors, vehicles, asset movements, incidents, and security reports.
- Liaise with relevant departments to safeguard company property and prevent unauthorized removal of assets.
Requirements
- Minimum SC/HSC qualification or equivalent.
- Good understanding of security procedures and asset control practices.
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, customers, and contractors.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
