Job Description
Warehouse Agent
We are looking for a Warehouse Agent to join a busy logistics and operations environment. The successful candidate will support day-to-day warehouse and bonded operations, ensuring shipments are accurately handled, scanned, stored and released in line with established procedures and customs requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, load and move shipments within the bonded warehouse.
- Scan inbound and outbound shipments accurately according to procedures.
- Identify and group shipments under the correct House Air Waybill (HAWB).
- Handle shipments requiring special attention, including damaged or temperature-controlled shipments.
- Ensure shipments are placed in the correct warehouse locations.
- Assist with the inspection and verification of shipments by Customs, Police and other regulatory authorities.
- Ensure shipments are only released once all required customs and regulatory documentation has been properly completed and validated.
- Carry out regular/daily inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare and communicate ageing reports to the relevant operations teams.
- Complete and submit gate passes for released shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems with shipment and bond information.
- Respond to internal queries and liaise with other departments and authorities when required.
- Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, local regulations and safety/operational standards.
- Be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including public holidays, when required.
Requirements:
- School Certificate or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills in both English and French.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management skills and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable and willing to learn.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and systems.
- Professional appearance and well-groomed.
- Previous warehouse, logistics or operations experience would be an advantage, but relevant experience will also be considered.
