Role: Software Developer Intern
Location: Dayforce (Mauritius) Ltd - Level 2, Iconebene 1 - Ebene
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM
Transport Provided at the end of each working day.
Duration – 6 Months (26 October 2026 Target Start Date)
Summary/About the opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer Intern to join our dynamic team in Mauritius. As a Soft Dev Intern, you will gain practical experience in software development by working closely with our seasoned software engineers and development teams. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the tech industry and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
Primary Responsibilities/ What you’ll get to do:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software applications and solutions.
- Assist in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting software issues to ensure smooth functionality.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of existing software products.
- Support the team in the implementation of software best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver quality results.
Qualifications/Skills and experience we value:
- Currently enrolled or completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Currently in their final year final semester or completed their studies.
- Solid understanding of programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks) is a plus.
- Smart and driven individual who is passionate about learning new technologies and working in a tech environment.
- Strong academic performance in courses regarding programming languages, algorithms, data structures, computer organization, and discrete mathematics.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preference will be given to students with an interest in Artificial Intelligence and related technologies. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an AI-focused project, solution, or practical work they have built, developed, or contributed to.

Eligibility Criteria - Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field, and must have completed their Year 2 Semester 2 by the time they begin the internship.
What to expect? - Application Processing:
1st Level Assessment - The recruitment team will screen resumes and transcript to shortlist candidates for further selection steps. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next level of assessment.
2nd Level Assessment - If shortlisted following the initial screening, the candidate will progress to a live technical coding session with the Hiring Manager(s). Candidates should prepare to explain their approach, write and discuss code in real time, and demonstrate problem-solving across OOP, SQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and relevant front-end technologies such as React or Angular. Any exposure to AI, including machine learning, generative AI, or AI-enabled development tools, will also be an advantage.
