Job Description

Drymix Ltd, a member of the UBP Group, is looking for a dynamic, motivated and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join its Production Team.  Reporting to the Production Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient plant operations, product quality and adherence to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating, monitoring and controlling production and packing equipment to ensure safe, efficient and continuous plant operations.
  • Executing production schedules and achieving production targets while minimizing downtime.
  • Ensuring the availability of raw materials, packaging materials and other production consumables.
  • Preparing production lines, carrying out product changeovers and maintaining optimum operational efficiency while meeting quality standards.
  • Completing production reports, consumption records and operational documentation accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Monitoring equipment performance, carrying out routine inspections and promptly reporting abnormalities or equipment failures.
  • Working closely with the Maintenance Team to resolve operational issues and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and organization throughout the plant.
  • Complying with all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) requirements, including the proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
  • Participating actively in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and product quality.
  • Promoting teamwork and effective communication during shift operations.
  • Contributing to the production of high-quality products and the delivery of excellent customer service.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • BT in Production, Industrial Maintenance or any related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in the construction materials industry would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on a shift system.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and basic electrical principles.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, reliable and attentive to detail.
  • Proactive, disciplined and results-oriented.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and a strong commitment to safety.
