Purchasing Officer
Floreal International Ltd, part of the textile cluster of CIEL Group, is a fully integrated textile manufacturing company operating within the knitwear garment-making industry.
We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team at Floreal International Ltd.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services while maintaining strong and effective relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Request and compare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and contractual conditions.
- Monitor and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify the quality and conformity of purchased products and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Review and confirm orders through proforma invoices.
- Prepare, issue and follow up on purchase orders and obtain the necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Maintain an organized and efficient purchasing and filing system.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly procurement reports.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum Academic Qualification: Higher School Certificate (HSC).
- Professional Qualification: A Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Management will be an advantage.
- Minimum 1/2 years’ experience in import and purchasing, preferably within the textile or manufacturing sector.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management and import processes.
- Good command of written and spoken English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly computer literate, with good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, proactive and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
