Senior ERP Developer

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior ERP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, customization, integration, and support of ERP solutions for clients across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

This senior technical role primarily focuses on enterprise ERP applications, particularly SAGE X3 and their integration with third-party systems.

The Senior ERP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ERP customizations and extensions to meet business requirements. The role also involves developing interfaces, reports, screens, workflows, and batch processes, as well as troubleshooting complex technical and production issues.

The successful candidate will participate in all phases of the ERP development lifecycle and will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision while providing technical guidance to junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

• ·       ERP Development & Customization: Design, develop, test, and maintain custom functionalities and extensions within SAGE X3 and other ERP environments.

• ·       Technical Development: Develop and enhance screens, reports, workflows, batch processes, scripts, and other ERP components based on functional and technical specifications.

• ·       System Integration: Design and develop interfaces and integrations between ERP systems and third-party applications using appropriate integration technologies, APIs, web services, and data exchange mechanisms.

• ·       Database Development: Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, data extraction processes, and other database-related components required by ERP solutions.

• ·       Technical Analysis: Translate business and functional requirements into appropriate technical solutions and development specifications.

• ·       Solution Design: Contribute to the technical architecture and design of ERP enhancements, customizations, and integrations.

• ·       Data Migration: Develop and execute technical data migration, transformation, validation, and import processes within SAGE X3.

• ·       Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.

• ·       Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to ERP applications, custom developments, integrations, interfaces, and databases.

• ·       Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance issues within ERP customizations, integrations, queries, and batch processes.

• ·       Deployment & Go-Live Support: Support the deployment of developments across test, UAT, and production environments and provide technical assistance during Go-Live activities.

• ·       Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, bug fixes, and enhancements following ERP implementation.

• ·       Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical specifications, development documentation, integration documentation, and deployment procedures.

• ·       Technical Leadership: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and less experienced ERP developers and contribute to development best practices.

• ·       Collaboration: Work closely with ERP Functional Consultants, Project Managers, technical teams, and clients to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements and are delivered within agreed timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• ·       Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• ·       At least 5 years of professional experience in ERP development, preferably with SAGE X3 or other enterprise ERP solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics, PeopleSoft, Oracle, or SAP.

• ·       Strong experience in ERP development, customization, and technical implementation.

• ·       Strong programming and software development skills using technologies relevant to ERP development.

• ·       Experience with SAGE X3 development tools and technologies would be a strong advantage.

• ·       Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, database queries, and data manipulation.

• ·       Experience developing and supporting APIs, web services, interfaces, and third-party system integrations.

• ·       Experience with data migration, transformation, and ERP data import/export processes.

• ·       Good understanding of software development principles, testing, debugging, version control, and deployment practices.

• ·       Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• ·       Ability to understand functional requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

• ·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple development priorities.

• ·       Proficiency in both English and French.

• ·       Good communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with functional consultants, technical teams, and international clients.

• ·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering reliable, maintainable, and high-quality ERP solutions.
