Job Description

Hiring a Junior Account Manager to support client onboarding, KYC, account servicing, reporting, and relationship management.  

Role Overview

The Junior Account Manager provides direct operational and administrative support to the Head of Account Management while assisting with the management of client profiles throughout the full client lifecycle. The role helps coordinate departmental priorities, client onboarding, account servicing, due diligence follow-ups, internal reporting, and communication across relevant teams.

This position is suited to a proactive and organised individual who can manage follow-ups, maintain accurate records, and provide the Head of Account Management with clear and timely updates. It offers broad exposure to account management, regulatory requirements, business development, and departmental reporting within a regulated financial-services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support to the Head of Account Management

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Account Management in coordinating departmental priorities, client matters, and outstanding actions.
  • Maintain trackers, prepare status updates, and follow up with team members and other departments on agreed deliverables and deadlines.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports, meeting materials, presentations, client correspondence, and internal communications.
  • Highlight delays, operational risks, client concerns, and matters requiring management review or escalation.
Client Onboarding and KYC AML

  • Coordinate the onboarding of individual, corporate, and trust accounts in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Collect and complete initial reviews of identification, corporate, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth documentation.
  • Identify missing, expired, or inconsistent information and coordinate timely follow-ups with clients and relevant parties.
  • Prepare client files for review by Compliance and support the progression of approved accounts towards activation and funding.
  • Maintain accurate onboarding records, checklists, deadlines, and account milestones.
Client Servicing and Relationship Support

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned clients and provide timely, professional support.
  • Respond to routine client enquiries and support account maintenance, funding, withdrawals, platform access, and document requests.
  • Draft clear client communications and follow through on agreed actions within the required timeframe.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Compliance, Finance, Trading Support, and other teams to resolve client requests efficiently.
  • Escalate urgent, sensitive, unusual, or higher-risk matters to the Head of Account Management or the appropriate control function.
Periodic Reviews and Compliance Support

  • Complete assigned tasks for annual, periodic, and risk-based reviews of existing client profiles.
  • Check that client identification, corporate, tax, and financial information remains complete and current.
  • Support the review of changes in ownership, business activity, risk profile, PEP status, sanctions exposure, and adverse media.
  • Track outstanding documentation and follow up with clients to support completion within required timelines.
  • Refer compliance concerns and exceptions promptly in line with internal escalation procedures.
Tax Documentation

  • Perform initial reviews of Forms W-9, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, and related investor self-declarations.
  • Support FATCA and CRS classification and record maintenance under the guidance of senior colleagues and Compliance.
  • Identify apparent inconsistencies in tax documentation and coordinate corrections or clarification.
  • Maintain relevant knowledge through internal guidance and ongoing training.
CRM Administration, Reporting and Coordination

  • Maintain accurate and timely client, prospect, activity, and follow-up records in HubSpot and other internal systems.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for the Head of Account Management on onboarding status, outstanding documentation, periodic reviews, client activity, pipeline development, funding progress, and key performance indicators.
  • Support data quality checks and ensure that records are complete, consistent, and suitable for management reporting.
  • Contribute to internal procedures, process improvements, operational trackers, and ad hoc projects.
Business Development Support

  • Assist with prospect follow-ups, lead management, and introducer relationship administration.
  • Track prospects from initial enquiry through onboarding, approval, and funding.
  • Identify potential funding, retention, or service opportunities and refer them to the Head of Account Management or relevant senior colleague.
Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or a related field.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in account management, client onboarding, KYC and AML, brokerage, custody, wealth management, client services, or financial services is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of KYC and AML requirements; exposure to periodic reviews, QI, FATCA, or CRS is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with a CRM platform such as HubSpot is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional client correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work accurately under supervision.
