C-Care Hospitals & Clinics Mauritius is currently looking for a Finance Officer.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial support, with a particular focus on doctor-related payments, revenue monitoring, and financial analysis. The role involves ensuring the accurate processing and verification of financial data, maintaining up-to-date information on the HIS system, supporting revenue management initiatives, and liaising with doctors and relevant stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
What you will be doing:
- Calculate and verify payments due to visiting and in-house doctors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed payment terms.
- Map and maintain doctors’ profiles and relevant information within the HIS system.
- Effect service price changes and ensure that updated rates are accurately reflected in the HIS system.
- Liaise with doctors to address and resolve payment, billing, and other finance-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Verify package revenue and associated costs to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting.
- Conduct revenue analysis by specialty and doctor to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.
- Review financial data and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
- Assist in identifying and investigating discrepancies in revenue, costs, and doctor payments.
- Prepare regular reports and analysis on doctor payments, revenue, and costs for review by the Finance Manager.
- Work closely with the Finance, Medical, Billing, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Maintain proper records and documentation relating to doctor payments, pricing, revenue, and financial analysis.
- Support the Finance Manager in financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and other finance-related activities.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial and doctor-related information.
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives aimed at enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, revenue management, or a similar role.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment will be considered an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis, revenue monitoring, reconciliations, and payment processing.
- Experience in handling and analysing doctor payments, package revenue, and specialty-based revenue will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or other financial/ERP systems will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with doctors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
