Operations Team Leader

Role Purpose

The Operations Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring the efficient management of day-to-day shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, supporting and supervising the operations team, coordinating vessel and husbandry activities, and assisting with various administrative and operational tasks.

The role requires strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, compliance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage daily shipping operations.
• Supervise, support and guide the operations team.
• Coordinate vessel operations, including reporting, documentation and performance monitoring.
• Manage disbursement accounts, monitor costs and assist with billing activities.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, operational requirements and service standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping operations, including experience in team supervision.
• Proficiency in MACCS, VCS and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and international environment.
