C-Care, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group, owning and operating the two main private healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely Clinique Darné and Wellkin Hospital. C-Care also owns and manages C-Care Clinic and C-Lab.


C-Care is currently looking for an OT Store Lead to join the dynamic and talented multicultural healthcare team at C-Care Wellkin.


| OT Store Lead

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Operating Theatre Manager and will be responsible for the effective management and control of inventory, consumables, implants, instruments and non-medication stock for the Operating Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy units. The selected candidate will ensure stock availability, inventory accuracy, billing traceability and compliance with hospital policies and infection prevention standards.


What you will be doing:

  • Manage and control inventory, consumables, implants, instruments and non-medication stock for the Operating Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy units
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent stock-outs
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
  • Monitor expiry dates, usage and storage conditions to minimise wastage and losses
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, issuance and traceability of stock and implants
  • Support accurate billing and traceability of consumables and implants used for patient procedures
  • Coordinate with the Operating Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy teams to anticipate stock requirements
  • Liaise with Procurement, Pharmacy, Finance and other relevant departments regarding stock requirements and discrepancies
  • Ensure stock is stored and handled in accordance with hospital policies and infection prevention and control standards
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and records for audits, stock movements and billing purposes
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged items, slow-moving stock and potential shortages
  • Promote efficient use of resources and support cost-control initiatives
  • Ensure confidentiality and accountability at all times
  • Perform all other tasks as required by the department


What are we looking for?

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field
  • Previous experience in inventory, stores or supply chain management; healthcare experience would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of stock control, inventory management and record keeping
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory systems
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordination skills
