Job Description
One of our clients, a well-established company based in Cascavelle, is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate financial records and providing support with accounting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Record daily financial transactions and accounting entries.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts and expenses.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare supplier and customer invoices.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables and payables.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and reconciliation.
- Assist with VAT and other statutory accounting requirements.
- Support the preparation of financial information for audits and tax purposes.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
- Liaise with banks, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders on accounting-related matters.
- Ensure that all accounting records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team.
Candidate Profile:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or similar accounting role.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a financial services, family office, accounting or professional services environment would be an advantage.
