Job Description

One of our clients, a well-established company based in Cascavelle, is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate financial records and providing support with accounting and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
  • Record daily financial transactions and accounting entries.
  • Process invoices, payments, receipts and expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare supplier and customer invoices.
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables and payables.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and reconciliation.
  • Assist with VAT and other statutory accounting requirements.
  • Support the preparation of financial information for audits and tax purposes.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders on accounting-related matters.
  • Ensure that all accounting records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team.

Candidate Profile:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or similar accounting role.
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a financial services, family office, accounting or professional services environment would be an advantage.
