Reporting to the Chef,the Food and Safety Officer shall be responsible for ensuring that all food and beverage operations within the hospital adhere to the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining robust HACCP systems, monitoring compliance with local regulations and accreditation requirements, and supporting the hospital’s CHKS implementation through active participation in audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives. By fostering a culture of safety and excellence, the Food and Safety Officer helps safeguard patient, staff, and visitor well-being while enhancing the overall quality of F&B services.    

Key Responsibilities

: Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene standards across all operations 

: Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments in line with HACCP, ISO, GMP

: Develop and update food safety policies, procedures, and training programs 

: Investigate and resolve food safety incidents and customer complaints 

: Maintain accurate compliance and audit records 

: Collaborate with management to build a culture of food safety 

: Stay updated with the latest legislation and best practices

Qualifications & Skills

: Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field

: Experience in food safety, quality assurance, or similar roles

: Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations

: Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills 

: Effective communication and interpersonal skills 

: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
