C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.

 

C-Care is currently looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to be based at C-Care Corporate Office.

 

 

| Sustainability Coordinator

 

Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Group’s sustainability initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with C-Care’s sustainability strategy and objectives. The role will contribute to creating a positive impact on employees, communities and the environment by coordinating sustainability programmes, tracking performance and supporting stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives, promote responsible business practices and assist the Group in achieving its long-term sustainability goals.


What you will be doing:

 

  • Lead employee-, community- and environment-focused sustainability programmes and projects aligned with the C-Care Sustainability Strategy.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and implementation plans.
  • Plan, organise and coordinate sustainability events, campaigns and activities.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, schedules and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Track project progress and ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and achieve intended outcomes.
  • Develop and coordinate employee, community and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with NGOs, local organisations, community groups and other stakeholders to implement impactful sustainability programmes and projects.
  • Represent C-Care at community meetings, forums, networking events and sustainability-related engagements.
  • Develop and implement sustainability awareness, education and engagement programmes for employees and communities.
  • Prepare communication materials to promote sustainability initiatives, achievements and impact.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications related to sustainability programmes and activities.
  • Support the planning and execution of sustainability campaigns and events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress, outcomes and impact of sustainability projects and initiatives.
  • Collect, analyse, maintain and report sustainability-related data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare project performance, impact and sustainability reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records and databases of sustainability initiatives and activities.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits to assess compliance with sustainability policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of sustainability policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Support the Sustainability Manager in preparing project proposals, reports, presentations and management documentation.
  • Provide administrative, coordination and logistical support for sustainability activities, meetings and projects.
  • Support the planning, coordination, implementation and follow-up of Sustainability Strategy initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all sustainability initiatives under the assigned scope.

 

Working Conditions

 

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in project management would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and track multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with data, tracking tools, dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data reporting tools.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
